Sakhalin-2 produces 11.5 mln tns of LNG in 2022, exceeds plan
MOSCOW, Jan 26 (PRIME) -- The Sakhalin-2 project produced 11.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2022, exceeding the plan, operator Sakhalin Energy said in a statement on Thursday.
"The company topped the 2022 plan and produced about 11.5 million tonnes of LNG and about 3.7 million tonnes of the Sakhalin Blend oil," the statement read.
Japan, China, South Korea and Indonesia were the key buyers of LNG in 2022, and China, South Korea and Japan the main oil buyers. Production and shipments continued in 2023 without disruptions.
